HOW WE BUILD IT
Built in layers, not sprayed once.
A coating is only as good as its details. Every NanoGuard restoration follows NanoTech's written system specification for your roof type.

Clean and repair
Pressure-wash, tighten loose fasteners and repair defects to industry standards before any coating goes down.
- 02
Prime where required
Rust-inhibiting primer on exposed metal, and substrate primers where the spec calls for them.
- 03
Reinforce the details
Fabric is embedded in the first course of coating at seams, penetrations and drains, extending at least 3 inches past each detail. Some roof types use NanoTech TriSeam on seams instead.

Build the membrane
Full coats applied to the thickness your warranty term requires. Example: NanoTech's 10-year EPDM system is two coats, 3 gallons per square, 42 mils dry.

Inspect and document
Each coat is inspected and repaired before the next, and film thickness is checked as we go.
Ask any coatings contractor how many mils they're leaving on your roof.

NanoTech TriSeam sprayable fibre-reinforced seam sealer, roof sealants matched to acrylic and silicone systems, skylight sealer and fabric reinforcement.

NanoTech Rain Safe Leak Repair goes on at or below freezing (from 13°F / -11°C), bonds to damp surfaces, tolerates rain while it cures and stays flexible to -40°F. We stop active leaks through the winter, then restore the roof properly when the season allows.
